Welcome to Neuro Talk. I do know what an AVM is. my neighbor had this happen to him years back. You do need to get clearance from your neurologist. I also was cleared by my Neuro, however it doesn't mean I can engage in all the activities I did before. I loved to sky dive, and horse back ride and jumping. With my neck fused it wouldn't make much sense to fall etc. I think the coasters would be risky as it does put strain on all parts of your body. I miss coasters too. If it were me Katie, I would bag it, and not take a chance. Your neurologist knows the best, seek the answer for sure with him. It is difficult when our life presents medical issues that change us. ginnie
