Default Another trip to the ER, dumb way to learn common sense

Last night's trip to the ER was a reminder of how easy it is to over due it, especially when you are new to this disease and haven't learned the boundaries yet. Common sense should have told me this, but in future I guess it would be a good idea to let someone know that I am having trouble breathing before I pass out on them. I guess the good part was I got to skip the waiting room, then again I don't even remember being wheeled in.

Fortunately I didn't need to be intubated. I've played the bagpipes all my life, so I guess even when my diagram and chest muscles are significantly weakened they still move enough air to keep me in the clear. Not sure why I passed out, maybe I wasn't exhaling enough, at least that is what was feeling the most difficult.

The ER staff were super kind and supportive, much better than my last experience. They've got me on track to see the MG specialist. Might ask if I can see a pulmonologist if this breathing issues keeps up.

This site has been absolutely wonderful. The information I have found here made last night's experience far less anxiety producing than it could have been. Thank you all for this.
