I agree, unless one is allergic to either the casein protein or the lactose contained in dairy products, it is probably not a problem to consume it. Even for those who are not allergic, dairy products can cause problems for some folks...and theses dairy products are usually the unfermented variety of dairy, as in plain milk (lactose intact). Althought milk is not a necessary part of the adult human diet, it does offer high protein, vitamins and minerals. Most people do OK with reasonable amounts of yogurt, butter milk and cheeses (lactose has been broken down by bacteria).
