What you are describing could be so many different things, and we are no doctors here. PN may have some of the symptoms, but I have not heard of the kind of severity in symptoms you are describing. He does have neurological symptoms, the best bet would be to get a good reputable Neurologist for a complete workup. Brain scan too. I am sorry this happened to your son. Let me know how he does. I also know how scarry all this can be for a family. I am here to listen any time you need a friend. ginnie
Hi ginnie,
Thank you so much for responding, it made me feel so much better having someone listen. The unfortunate thing is he has seen a neurologist ( there was an 8 month waiting list so I paid privately) .he asked for another brain scan & said he would take him via his nhs clinic , however there was a mix up with the letters & the scan was delayed & when we finally got it done & an appointment in his nhs clinic 3 months had gone by .We went for the appointment & he greeted us with 'have we met before?' , naturally this didn't give me much confidence . He then did exactly the same examination that we had paid £250 for 3 months ago . He showed us the brain scans which he said were clear & at the end referred my son for some more intense physiotherapy. That was in May ( still waiting for this intense physio as he is once again at the bottom of the list so I have been paying for Osteopathy treatment each week which seems to be helping but was told it will take a long time. We did get one appointment at the physio dept which was 3 weeks ago to be told by the physio that he could not help but referred him to neuro physio dept and guess what we are now on their waiting list ( neverending waiting here in wales -terrible service. I have found a private neuro physio not too far away & have booked for an assessment next Tuesday ( fingers crossed they can work out how to help ) . I have obtained copies of all the specialists letters from my doctors surgery who are very helpful & not happy with the way he has been neglected by the NHS.
Once again thank you for being there. I'll let you know how it goes.
regards wizard
