Mark,

Please do see your doctor about this, ASAP. It sounds like it has to do with your back issues, as L4-L5-S1 would refer pain to the leg areas you mention. You could also have paresthesia (burning is one type, itching, prickling, numbness etc are other kinds).

However, when new symptoms come up, it is really important to have them evaluated. Also, I don't know about the spasming. The L4-S region only affects foot movement from what I know. There may be a simple explanation that also ties it in with the calf spasming. I just don't know.
