Stacey,

My thyroid has been taken out and I am on Synthroid and Cytomel. For a long time, my thyroid function could not be stabilized. It took several months before trial and error of proper dosage and combination before it stabilzes.

It is difficult to determine if the PN is caused by the thyroid because in some cases (at least in my case), even the thyroid function has been normalized the PN still remains the same.

Was it you who talked about proper combination of Synthroid and cytomel? Or did you post a link about the topic? I remember it discussed about -- if Cytomel is increased/decreased, current dosage of Synthroid should remain as is, or was it otherwise?

My recent TSH was normal high and my endoc's PA called that i can increase my Synthroid from .75 to .100 and retain the cytomel dosage. I could not get through my doctor to clarify my concern. I was hoping you remember or you are aware of what I am referring to.....

Thank you.

Mary
