Sometimes there are mechanical problems with swallowing for those whom have had an anterior plate and screws (fusion) preformed where the esophagus can hang up on the anterior-superior portion of the plate. Other times something like D.I.S.H. (Forestier's disease) where there are flocculent large bridging osteophytes anteriorly. Neither are mentioned on your imaging findings. But there are certainly many other reasons for swallowing difficulties that wouldn't show on a CT so perhaps a thorough work-up with a neurologist or better yet an EENT specialist is called for!
