I also suffer with photophobia as well as other conditions that have taken away my vision. I live in a state where it rains often and I truly appreciate the grey skies the rain brings. I cannot venture outdoors unless I have sunglasses on and even that may not always be enough. Shopping cam be a nightmare in some stores that have too bright lights....I can not see the products many times and am forced to buy only products I am familiar with. Even eating at food buffets my friends have to tell me what dishes are in front of me.

Unfortunately I also have macular degeneration, double vision and going color blind. I don't know how many opthamologists I have seen and the only thing they say is to wear sunglasses. At one time I was taking glucosamine/condrotin and the photophobia was really severe. It was only when I did some research that I learned that condrotin is what many doctors use to dilate eyes before exams.

I understand exactly what you are going through.
