Hi. I'm sorry your block hurt so much. I have lower RSD and have had a series of 9 lumbar blocks done on 2 week intervals. The blocks were very painful for me (but did in the long run help). I was so apprehensive before each block and just dreaded going through it. My doctor prescribed Ativan for me. You don't have to take this all the time, but only when you really need to. I started to take one before each block and it helped calm me down. If you continue to find your blocks painful you might want to ask your doctor about Ativan as an option.
