Good to meet another "dog" person. I have single sided deafness, and the dogs are easier to communicate with than lots of people. They are interesting to watch and sometimes I just "look" and think "sit" and I've thought about simple hand-eye commands and less words. I believe that is how they naturally respond anyway.

Have you had this experience also? Are you a dog trainer/whisperer?
Your dogs sound very attuned to you and bonded well with you. They must be a great source of comfort to be with.
