I wish someone else would chime in. I don't know very much about diabetic neuropathy, your other reactions sure sound like some of it is the flu shot.
I do not think the hair is significant, but if you are experiencing hair loss and gain simultaneously it could be hormonal or thyroid, I would get both checked.
