TK, I'm so sorry this happened and hope you're starting to feel a bit better. The suggestions re muscle relaxers etc are good, maybe a warm bath with some nice oils, candles etc would help you release some of the tension as well. Anything that could calm you down and help your body relax a bit. Any kind of shock like that is nasty, but the pains and tightness must be worrying you. Hopefully your new symptoms are temporary and things will calm back down again for you.

There's nothing you could have done. Some people are stupid and you can't (sadly) protect yourself against them. I agree that you should see your doc as a precautionary measure - you need to get the accident on record just in case anything comes of it. Let's hope he can reassure you
