greetings
hello my dear! Just a short note to let you know what you are feeling is normal after surgery for the implant! My experience is one as both a nutty nurse and a SDS patient. I am currently on my third ( ) unit. I burned though my first battery in just over a year. My second unit was the newest and best at the time. I took a nasty fall and ripped my leads loose ( ) so after I had my shoulder repaired I received my third unit. It is a rechargeable unit. It has a 10 year battery (in reality it is only 9 years) I will soon be ready for my next unit I will get the newest and best at the time. My current leads will work for some time with new Medtronic units (or so says my rep). I can honestly say that I would not be here without those units. I have it tweaked every so often. I am currently working just a little much for my body and am thinking of cutting down or changing to a job that is not filled with lifting, twisting and long hours on my feet. I truly love my work in surgery, the emergency room and just on the floor as a floor nurse. I think I may just be getting too old for the pace I and my hospital demand of my body So settle in and let us do what we do best! Question what you need to, let us pray for you and offer the support you may not find in the "real world"
