I enjoy a hot epsom salt bath and I have almost given them up because my feet burn. I still take one occasionally in the winter, but I have to keep my feet out of the water the whole time. sucks. Even keeping my feet out of the water the heat raises my body temperature and I can't stay in as long as I would like, I guess just my body temp rising causes my feet to burn.

I have never used epsom for just my feet, I use the lotion.

I use 2 cups of epsom, but I have a large jetted tub. I use 1 cup of regular and 1 cup of the lavendar epsom...oohhh that stuff is heaven.

Edit to add: I just took a bath this week and even though it does cause my feet to burn, it still helps them. The burn goes away after I get out and put my feet in front of my fan. As soon as they cool the burn stops and the epsom makes them feel good in the long run. It's not the same as a regular flare burn.
