I have to wonder if you have really poor circulation.
When areas of the body warm up from being deprived of blood they tingle and burn.
If soaking makes you burn...then I would only use the lotion on your feet. Just do the ankles and tops, you don't need to do the bottoms. You may need to do the lotion twice a day.
Heat in any form makes me burn too. But lukewarm does not.
Soaking in a hot tub will activate my MP in my right thigh too.
So I don't use hot water any more.
