Both hypoglycemia and low Vit.B12 can damage the nerves. It is good news that you know this now than later. You can correct it! once your BS is stabilized and your Vit.B12 has normalized, hopefully your neuropathy will improve.

Oral Vit.B12 (methycobalamin) is as good as the injectable. you need to take the vitamin on an empty stomach. I started on 2500 mcg daily and when i reached my goal, I just maintain it to 1000mcg daily. There has been no studies that show toxicity level for vitamin b12 so, its relatively safe.

I am sure your doctor told you that hypoglycemia is not treated. Your best bet is a good balanced diet--- small but frequent meals.

Good luck.
