Default Hi

I'm glad to find this place.

I just got turned down at the hearing before the judge. I've had OCD since childhood, have arthritis and fluid in a knee, and Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. I've only survived up to now by neglecting my health so as to keep a roof over my head; going off meds so as to have the energy to work, getting too little sleep, etc. I was homeless for years. As I've gotten older, even that is not doable. I got into a HUD program so as to keep that roof over my head, and have stayed on meds for the longest stretch of time in my life. But, the judge turned me down.

I suspect judges consider OCD something funny, and the people with it silly.

Anyway. After being denied at the hearing, how long a process is the appeal at this stage of the game? Am I looking at another 5 years of limbo? I heard most lose appeals that are after the hearing. Is that true?
