A few month ago I had some dental work done, and due to my own fault in misinterpreting what I felt (or didn't) under novacaine, I bit a
severe wound in my own cheek that made eating near impossible for a couple weeks. I don't know if that's similar to your dilemma or not. It was so bad I stuck to soups for that period (mostly Progresso—they seem to have more "substance" though still no substitute for a balanced diet). The salt was a killer, but may have helped keep the bacteria down & healing faster(?)
That's probably not helping you any, and it's partly my frustration in being at a loss. I'm not even sure of a direction to suggest, and that bothers me. Maybe some folks in other forums (than headache) have some ideas/insights.
Dentistry & Dental Issues seems obvious, but in doing a quick search of the archives for
temporomandibular joint tmj quite a few other forums come up.
Maybe there are some ideas here?

Maybe a call or two to your doctors to convey that you need some help/guidance in getting through this(?)
