I've been signed off work for another month with stress. Neuro appointment in November seems a lifetime away. I probably won't even have any testing done, it will be more of an evaluation session I assume.

Hi Karen,
You could always ring the Neuro office and ask them to phone you if there are any cancellations if you can go at short notice. I am getting together a list of questions for my neurosurgeon visit tomorrow (reply in other thread) and my husband just said they must get really fed up with people that google things on the internet which I can understand but as several people here have said in the past, no one is going to care about your health as much as you. I think the NHS works well on the whole but waiting times can be very long and even a few weeks is a long time when you are worried and if things are getting progressively worse in that time.
My daughters who live in USA where wait times are much quicker are saying push the doctors etc. but that gets you nowhere in UK. Over there if you don't like/get on with one you can find another but here it is not so easy.
I have been taking the Benfo/ALA/Magnesium but had no improvement but as I have this mass on spinal cord allegedly causing neuropathy that is probably why. Will update after appointment tomorrow. I do think finding the diagnosis makes life a lot easier but for some people that just doesn't happen.
