I had 2 of these done, but i was in the hosp for a week with them.. I wasnt sent home with it. I LOVED LOVED mine!! and would kill for one right now. The only thing i didnt like about it was while i was in the hosp with the epidural, i had little to no control over my legs.. which is good bc thats where my RSD was , but i couldnt walk at all or use the bathroom by myself.. soo. but it was well worthe the week of being pain free.. just be prepared that once the catherter is out, and the meds wear off.. the pain might come back and it will come back ten fold. Thats what mine did, only bc i was way advanced in my RSD and it was just a shot.. but i did it twice just to see if it would reset everything... but no luck..

GOOD luck with yours and its not cutting your back at all.. just like a regualar epidural just put a needle in your back and thread the catherter through and then tape it all into place and then hook it all up to the bag of meds.. It was a breeze~!!

Any more Q's ask away!!
