ahughes,

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

Your doctor is just trying to cover her bases. A CT Scan is not necessary unless you have debilitating head aches, muscle weakness, unequal pupils, slurred speech, or any stroke like symptoms. I'd spend the money on a neuro consult before a CT scan. If your insurance covers office visits, ask for a referral to a neuro or head ache specialist to get a better understanding.

Did she do a neurological assessment with motor control testing, muscle strength testing, etc ?

Do you have even the slightest soreness or tenderness in your neck or upper back or between your shoulders ? Whiplash can be a big cause of making concussion symptoms worse.

Do you have any idea why you fainted ?

Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

My best to you.
