Sorry to hear this...I do not think that "shaking hands" is a standard chiropractic treatment.
I would try to find an other chiropractor and ask if they can do a request for the x-rays you already taken. This way you won't have to repay for them .* Just beware though that different techniques might necessitate different x-ray views.
As for finding a new chiropractor, go by refferal and experience rather than by technique . Upper cervical or nuccha techniques are not superior to any other technique. It is more a mather of mastering the evaluation, palpation and the corrective technique.
Also good empathie and comprehension is a must!
