So sorry to hear of you setback. But you really should not drink alcohol.!!!
I love a glass of wine but like you it affected me so now I don't drink period.
Even if I make a full recovery I still don't think I'll ever drink again.
It's just so bad for you, not only brain but liver damage.
Also like you blacking out you could hit your head again.
I think you are right to seek your doctors opinion re the numbness.

That will give you some answers.
