The oil is not an oil....it is just so concentrated with magnesium that it is thick "like an oil"...If you read the ingredients you'll find no oils in it.

You might find soaking in epsom salts dissolved in warm water more gentle. The concentrated "oils" topical types are just like putting salt on your skin. If you have poor skin levels due to poor Omega-3 status in your diet, it will sting just like salt does.
