Anyone else with Fibro/Pain get this way too? If so what besides Neurontin, Cymbalta and Lyrica help? I've been taking a flexeril before bed but it's not helping. I'm thinking my next step is Benadryl?

Hi Mag23. I'm 42 and was diagnosed with fibro 18 months ago, though I've had the symptoms for about 6 years. Also have RLS (since childhood) and small-fiber neuropathy in my feet/legs.
Years ago, I read that magnesium before bedtime helps with RLS, but I did not know how much to take, so took only 250mg. Just recently I learned I can take 1,000mg a day (some people say more is OK). I take it an hour or so before bed and I find it helps me, at least initially. Sometimes I still wake up in the middle of the night and writhe around for a while. I've also heard it helps with fibro leg pain as well.
I've had the same experience with flexeril--doesn't do much for me. My doc prescribed low-dose Ambien, but I only take it when I really need a full night's sleep and am fairly certain I won't get one (about once a week).
It's all a guessing game, in some ways. We just have to find what works for each of us as individuals. Best of luck to you!
