Lupus comes in all kinds of ways.

My brother has had Lupus since he was 12 years old. He's now 62 and perfectly okay. He has worked all his life as a teacher and also ran a farm doing all the physical work himself. He has only had two hospitalisations due to his Lupus.

I also have a second cousin who has Lupus. She has just turned 18. She has had multiple clots in her lungs. She has very bad joints and needs assistance with bathing and day to day tasks. She has been on chemo to try to suppress the Lupus. She lost her hair and it never came back. She needs to have a hysterectomy. She has cognitive problems. She will never be able to work and she will not live a long life. My poor cousin has to be cared for by her mother for all day to day needs. Not nice for a teenager.

No two people are the same and people like Judge Judy should learn to keep their mouths closed unless they know what they're talking about.

Lupus can and does KILL.
