Hi tos8,
You might want to consider seeing an Epileptologist (Dr. specializing in epilepsy) instead of a neuro. You can find these Drs. at large hospitals or at University Hospitals. I saw many neuros over the yrs. but I got the most help from the Epileptologist who knows how to treat epilepsy with the least amount of AED's not to mention he/she will find the cause of a persons epilepsy and if the person wants to they can have surgery done to stop the sz. or reduce them like I had done. You will need to have your family Dr. refer you to an Epileptologist if you decide to go that route. I wish you only the best of luck and May God Bless You!
