Hi fistula_help,
Sedation used in the dental office is very different than sedation used in the OR in the hospital. This sedation is referred to as a twilight light sedation and the recovery time is quick.
Speak to your oral surgeon about it and he will reassure you.

Is it safe for the oral surgeon to put me asleep while removing the wisdom tooth assuming I have no health issue ? What's the safest method?
I'm hesitant for them to put me asleep because I read many bad stories such as:
- can't wake up and die
- go in coma and never wake up
- no oxygen to the brain or something
- heart stop during the procedure
At the same time, I can't deal with pain during the procedure.
Thanks in advance
