It sounds like the perforation is healing. But definitely keep an eye on it.

Regarding the second molar...... I don't understand why he would have to remove that tooth to close the sinus perf. I think that his remark may need some further discussion at some point.

The 2nd molar has a crown. Nothing wrong with it as far as I know. He just sort of vaguely mentioned it. I guess he's suggesting he wouldnt be able to surgically close the communication without pulling that tooth for some reason.
