The Affordable Care Act has requirements that crack down on shoddy old plans.
Some old individual plans do not satisfy some of the new rules.
The plans either have to change to fit the new law or go out of business.
-->>Wait until the third or fourth week in November when the web site will be working better before you sign up. In the meantime you can make a profile on the site and start reading about the new plans available to you.
Pay attention to
~premium
~ deductible
~co-pays.
Some plans are listed as Gold, Silver, Bronze.
Gold for example might have higher premiums but low deductibles and lower/ no copays.
You can choose between PPO and HMO I believe.
Some states have greatly expanded Medicare to include working people. Florida has not.
