Now that winter is here, I am wondering how to keep my foot warm in the car. My car heater is not good for feet. I works okay for the blowers off the dashboard and on the defroster, but not the blowers near the feet. There is no heat on my foot area my entire 20 minute ride to work.

Last winter I was miserable, but I wasn't diagnosed yet, so I didn't connect the cold foot with the pain that I had throughout the day. Not I know that I have more pain if I let my foot get cold.

I'm wondering if I can have a little heating pad in the car? Could I plug it into the cigarette lighter? It is my left foot, so I could put my foot on it and still drive (live in the US). Does It seem a little dangerous?

I could heat up a warmer in the microwave in the morning before leaving for work, but that won't work for the ride home.

My office moved this summer, and now I also have a 10 min walk from my parking lot to the building, so I may be out of luck in trying to stay warm anyway. Last year I was able to park right next to my building and only had 10 minute drive. Boy I miss that!

Buying a new car is not an option.
