That sounds really rough, especially being on your own. I no longer feel safe going out by myself to the stores, as I sometimes feel like I am going to fall right under the shopping cart.
You have an awful lot going on. I would still research CMT as it can show up spontaneously even without family history. It does make the knees and hips more unstable, sometimes necessitating surgery, and I am having a lot of trouble with my shoulders and elbows, pinched nerves, limited range of motion, etc. I also get the muscle twitches.
Of course other things can cause these symptoms too. I hope a treatable cause is found for you.
