There are muscle inflammations that raise CK values. Your doctor needs to evaluate this situation.

If you had been on a statin for a while, you need to start CoQ-10 ASAP... as statins remove your ability to make your own.
Qunol or Q-gel are examples of water soluble CoQ-10 and are preferred over the old oil gel caps. 100mg will do daily, but if you use the old type, then 300mg minimum is needed daily.
Statins raise CK values.

We have a statin thread going now, and it is very sobering. The statins really damage people. And those with certain genetic markers get damaged faster.

Another way you can get damaged... tendons mostly is from fluoroquinolone antibiotics... Cipro, Levaquin, Avelox. These damage DNA and the damage continues after you have stopped treatment with these. It can go on for months and months.
