That's horrible RSD31

As AzDi said, we've had a very recent discussion about this sort of thing in another thread, might be worth checking it out...
I would put in a complaint immediately (especially as, if you don't contest this, it will stay on his records and they'll use it again

), making exactly that point - that what others are allegedly doing has no bearing on your case, and should not be used as an excuse to refuse to your meds. You have been diagnosed with the most painful condition in the world, and you need your painkilling meds to get through the days. Going cold turkey like this is definitely bad for you - you could have a bad reaction and then he would risk ending up in court. If they don't respond, go higher up the chain. And if you have no other option, find another doc who has some humanity in his dark twisted little doctory soul....

In the UK there is a patient charter thing that states that the rights of the patient include the right to adequate pain relief...it might not be worth the paper it's written on, but the point is that you have the right to have these meds when your diagnosed condition is all about nerve pain.
I'm so sorry you've been treat this badly. It's not fair, it's not right, and you deserve to be treated properly and given what you need. I hope you get some luck soon and can get your meds back...
Bram.
