Hey tk

I don't follow the 4f diet, but after s lot of food research and reading I do follow a mediterranean diet.

Basically I try to NOT eat processed foods, saturated fats, lots of read meat, refined sugars, lots of salt and processed meats like sausages, ham and bacon.

I eat lots of good extra virgin olive oil, whole nuts, whole grains (tricky as I'm a coeliac lol), fruits and vegetables, lean meats and oily fish. And best of all lol, a glass of red wine with each evening meal.

I do feel a lot better when I am able to follow it more closely. The best thing for me is having probiotic Greek yoghurt with nuts, fruit and honey for breakfast - breakfast as a coeliac who can't eat raw milk is a nightmare, and my stomach is so much happier eating this. Trouble is, in real life it's very difficult to follow the diet really closely all the time, simply because I have two kids, life and also my husband does a lot of the shopping...the crappy stuff sneaks in to to the house, and some days my will power is not high!!!!!

I do still eat a few treats like dark chocolate and the odd take away, but eating more healthily is keeping my weight under some kind of control and makes me more alert and mobile I think. Obviously I still have bad days, but I do believe that diet is a big thing, and we need to give our bodies the best tools to fight everything the CRPS is throwing at our systems .

I think any move towards less sugar and fat is a good thing. Just don't forget the good fats because they are really important for your body.

Bram.
