Among other pain meds, I do take Ambien CR before bedtime. Originally, my doctor had prescribed the Ambien 10 mg's. I would wake up after a few hours. My doctor then prescribed the Ambien CR which is 12.5 mg's. It is a time release which allows me to sleep longer. Without the Ambien CR, the PN pain would be next to impossible to sleep. The Ambien CR should never be split. I am pain free during those hours. I am thankful for this relief.
