Did the folks he works with enjoy it? If they didn't, he needs to start looking for a new job because nobody should have to spend the day with the sort of people who didn't enjoy that. I'm sure he had them laughing all day.

We convinced him to wear it to work for a day and talk like Mario or Waluigi. It's immense. He's a good sport - I love him so much
