Yes, I was thinking about this. The throbbing leg pain sounds like what I experience, I can deal with the burning and numbness but the constant severe pain that feels like it comes from the bones is the primary reason I am on strong pain meds. Unmedicated I can barely move, and now my arms are involved as well. Try not to project into the future ( easier said than done!), this tends to get worse and then stabilize for a while. None of us can predict where it will be.
Right now I am up because I couldn't stand the thigh burning and numb arms. I keep making typos.
Definitely keep us posted and think about family history. Some people hide it or blame old age, arthritis, varicose veins, etc. but if you remember any relatives that had foot or leg troubles be sure to tell the neurologist. A lot of idiopathic cases are hereditary neuropathies.
Good luck!
