nine lives (Carole) is likely getting relief from her head aches due to an upper neck issue, not a skull plate issue. The tenderness behind the ears is usually the result of C-1 and C-2 inflammation that causes the muscles that connect behind the ear to spasm. Resolving C-1 and C-2 alignment can help with this inflammation. Icing after each treatment would be worthwhile. It may help the treatments to provide a longer benefit. It takes great discipline to heal weak C-1 and C-2 injuries. They are by design, very weak joints.

Learning and practicing good head/neck posture, especially when sleeping or napping will go a long way to helping this injury heal.

I hope you continue to get relief.

My best to you.
