I had a root canal on my lower molar #19. The first part was done on September 23 then second part on October 1st. I had the core build up (filling) on October 8th. I have been unable to get the temporary crown, because I am experiencing some of the same problems. I have pain in my jaw joints,ears, and throat. I also have a stiffness in my jaw. I went to an oral surgeon and he said that I had stretched the muscle in my jaw so he put me on a soft food diet and gave me a prescription for naproxen, which is a anti inflammatory and Flexeril, which is a muscle relaxant. I still feel the same so he injected a steroid shot into my jaw joint. I can open my mouth a little wider, but I still have the stiffnes and pain. I'm so sorry that I don't have a solution because I know what you are going through. I have been praying for all of my pain and discomfort to go away.
