I was lucky, Janet. When I had Shingles of the facial nerves, I took Valtrex right away and I didn't have the PHN...Thank God. The pain I had with the Shingles was definately suicidal pain.

People ask me if I have the residual pain, as if it's a given, so I'm very lucky.
I'm so sorry you suffer from that..Ugh.
