Shocked Gym

I have been working out at gym. I walk two and a half kilometers to catch a bus to the gym. On Monday and Wednesday I do my workout which was given to me by a gym instructor who has given me things to improve my balance and coordination. On the Tuesday and Thursday i do swimming. I have now done 1000m, as I am thinking of returning to my last country to do a race in a dam which is over 1600m. There is a handicapped/disabled race, and I have no pressure or expectation to win, but want to complete the race.

I had a diffuse axonal injury in January this year and have been told I would take 5-10 years to recover.

I would like to know if it is possible that I am doing too much too soon. I don't feel tired or exhausted when I am working out, but have been more dizzy lately. I have no expectation of reducing my workouts, but I don't wish to damage my brain further, or delay healing.

Please anyone, could you advise me. Thanks
