I have an adjustable bed (head and/or feet rise with a remote) . It is a memory foam mattress with gel. Have never been hot or cold on it. I have a waterproof mattress topper on it too. I like it. I think it is a simmons brand. My mattress if firm you do not sink into it . States its very comparable to Tempur Pedic. 1/2 the cost. Today was my worse day of pain with RSD after evaluation for ending my occ. therapy (possibly). I think from all the squeezing to determine the strength in each hand, finger, ect. RSD started after carpel tunnel surgery on right but pain is running up my right arm across my upper back and down my left arm. My chest and neck also feel strange. Not a good sign for things to come since I have only had it 2 1/2 months. I have not had the pain YET that some people have to determine if it is a good bed for that but love to be able to raise bed to watch tv or the feet to take stress off my back. I am sure after today I will find out.
