Increasing soluble fiber in the diet... like pectin (apple) or
psyllium seed (Metamucil) can absorb excess cholesterol that is excreted by the bile. It helps a little. But the liver synthesizes more cholesterol if the diet is low in it. This is why dietary control often does not change things much.
Cholesterol is not the enemy....inflammation is.
