Was it a CT Scan ?
CT Scans need to be avoided unless indicated by a neuro exam.
http://www.kevinmd.com/blog/2013/08/...imit-risk.html says
"CTs use x-rays to peer through your body, the same x-rays that are used to make plain x-ray pictures. But with a CT, a whole series of x-rays are taken one after another in little “slices.” Then a computer algorithm stitches those plain films together to get the familiar CT pictures of your insides. A single CT scan exposes the body to
as much radiation as 200-1000 plain x-ray films — the bigger the body part, the more net radiation is needed."
I doubt your neuro will find anything that could cause the trembling. A couple days of clonazepam (Klonopin, a dreaded benzo) may stop them. It would be a good indicator that they are anxiety caused.
I know how disturbing the trembles can be. I have had many different tremble experiences. It got so I would have an episode and we would laugh at it as we watch the movement. I would also get a spasming thumb that would lock as it pointed toward my little finger.
Anxiety can manifest in many weird ways. Learning to not react to these manifestations helps to lower anxiety levels. There is the conscio0us anxiety and for many of us we experience sub-conscious anxiety. We are not thinking about anything that could be considered anxious but our body reacts as though we are. The experience can be very upsetting. Knowing that it is just a malfunction of the anxiety system often can help. Learning to recognize the triggers and other signs of anxiety can help to reduce the frequency and intensity of these events.
Believe me. I know how upsetting they can be. I lived with extreme anxiety from Aug 8, 2013 to mid November when the doc put me on meds. It was beyond upsetting. It was scary.
Don't expect to find answers from the neuro. You may but I doubt it. It will likely be up to you to find a solution, if there even is one.
Are you taking the vitamin regimen ? The B-12, D3 and maybe even L-Tryptophan and L-Theanine all help the brain tolerate stress. They are not over-night fixes. It takes a few weeks to see a real sustainable difference.
I hope this helps. My best to you.
