Congratulation on the birth of your son!!! I agree (as usual) with everything Bram said. It is abdominal surgery and you must have lots of bedrest. Let people help you! Your job is to make sure you and the baby eat and stay clean. Everything else can either wait, or be done by someone else. Honestly I would use this as an "excuse" to spend lots of quiet time snuggling your newborn. You don't get those precious moments to do over. Yes,it is normal for the incision to be very sore, but it should be feeling better each day not getting worse.If the incision becomes increasingly painful or increasingly reddened call the doctor right away.
