Hi there.

My name is Melody and I wanted to share my husband's experience with the Fentanyl pain patch years and years ago. He said it was the ONLY thing that worked for his peripheral neuropathy. Back then he was still working and driving his car. He changed the patch every two days.

He had to get off of it because (at that time) he was on the highest dose allowed and well, he had to titrate down and go to detox for the last 25 of the patch. But it DID work for his pain. I'll never forget that.

We have a friend who has severe neuropathy and he (and others we know) have been doing this hot/cold therapy. You start with cool water and keep both feet in it for 8 minutes (to start) and then you take your feet out and put them in warm water. You go back and forth for 8 minutes.

Then after one week you do it for 20 minutes and keep the water as cold as you can stand it. He says it SHOCKS the nervous system back into balance.

After a few weeks he adds a teaspoon of sea salt to the water. He says it detoxes the body.

I am no expert but I've seen this guy. He can stand on his tip toes, he now does jumping jacks and his neurologist just took him off of IVIG (which he was on every 21 days for 8 years).

Imagine! he is off of IVIG. My husband started this and never felt so good in his life but then his foot ulcer came back and you can't soak your feet in water when a foot ulcer is healing.

But believe me, when my husband's foot ulcer heals, he'll be doing his hot/cold therapy. He can't wait. He said "my feet never felt so good".

So I wish you well

Melody
