What a coincident my birthday is also at Xmas , Christmas Eve, so I know what you are saying.
We tend to go out for a meal with friends, to save me the stress of entertaining.
My friends are understanding and I don't drink too much,
And we all have a great time.
But yes I, like you, find it all a bit tiring this time of year.
Also I run a boarding Cattery, and this is one of our busy times, so in addition to celebrating I then have to get up to feed all the little furries..

But I love what I do and now have taken on some par time help.

Good luck to you, as I said in an earlier post your injury is still in its wary stages
So plenty of rest and relax is required.
