Sometimes I wonder how some of these doctors have gotten thru medical school. I saw a neurologist once (he was a resident at a teaching hospital here) and told him I had RSD. He looked at me with his head cocked to the side and said "R..S..D..?" I cannot tell you on here what I said to myself The doctor I was seeing there finished his residency and moved over to doing EMG's...he was WONDERFUL. Naturally i did not return to the idiot. Unfortunately I have seen way too many drs like this. It still amazes me.

Is there any way you can see another dr, maybe in the same practice? I would try that and be persistent (as I am sure you will)! You definitely need to get this taken care of so you don't get an infection.
