I had to get a new tower. I had the teck, keep windows 7 on it. It is a program I know. The tower came with windows 8. I had all kinds of trouble with these two together. I updated to windows 8.1, which all in all works much better than 8. Mine was a free update, and easy to do. The two programs are working fine. I switch to 8.1 to learn more when I am finished with whatever on 7. Hope you can get windows 8.1. ginnie
